Mostly due to the outstanding performances of the actors in my play, my short piece "The Surprise" went very well. At least the audience laughed in the correct places and appeared to enjoy the performance throughout. At the end, the director approached me and said how much she enjoyed my writing. Once my head deflates enough to leave the house I will of course begin research on yet more writing.
Like the great Sepp Herberger didn't once say; "After the play is before the play" :)
